Regensburg is a unique well-preserved medieval city on the bank of the Danube. The gateaway Porta Praetoria reminds us of the ancient Romans who founded the city. In the VI century Regensburg became the first capital of Bavaria, in  the XIII century it is one of the wealthiest free Imperial cities. At the moment it is the beautiful capital of Bavarian Oberpfalz. On the walking tour through the Old Town our guide will make the history of Regensburg come alive. You will enjoy the Gothic masterpiece St. Peter´s Cathedral which construction lasted for 632 years, the oldest stone bridge in Germany, the historic “Wurstkuchl”, a tiny restaurant where the tasty sausages have been made for five centuries, the first cafe "Princess", the largest castle in Bavaria -the  Residence of the wealthy dynasty Turnh &Taxis who established the first postal service in the Middle Ages.
In 2006 Regensburg was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Our next stop is a magnificent hall of fame Wallhala. Modelled on Parthenon the temple is located high above the Danube River and glorifies the greatest people in German history.
At the end of our trip we will make a short stop at the brewery Kuchlbauer and Kuchlbauer Tower designed by a world-famous artist and philosopher Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
